Think about what you are afraid of. How does fear affect the decisions you make?

Your response must be at least 8 sentences. PROOFREAD! It is due no later than Friday, January, 11 at 5pm!

  1. You’re sitting there thinking to yourself why am I so scared of talking to a person that is a human being just like me. When you are new to a school you have a fear because you think to yourself and get all worked up, about where you are going to sit, and who you are going to sit with. With my experience I have moved about four times and every time was very scary. You weren’t afraid to go to school it was just that you didn’t know what people were going to think about you or if they would like you or maybe even if you would make a friend. A lot of people have a fear. They aren’t something you really are scared of they are things that you overthink. Instead of thinking about all of the bad things think about all the good things. If you have a fear try to face don’t let it affect the way you live and how you live. Fears are not good to have in your life.

  2. The definition of fear is: a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., but it goes much deeper than that. Fear is the first time you walk into a class room and don't recognize a single face, or not knowing weather you'll ever be good enough. Fear lives within all of us, its so much more than being afraid of a tiny spider or a clown. Fear has a voice and no matter what you do fear will follow you and say "what is this happens." or "what if its not going to be okay." and that can affect just about every decision you will make as a human being. For example, you get excepted to a really nice collage way across the country and you're all excited about it, but then fear kicks in. And you start to question weather its a good idea or not. Or for addicts, most of them want to get clean for someone's sake weather its their family or friends. But most of them fail because of the fear that they cant live without the drugs/alcohol. Or what about a kid with a broken home? I can guarantee every time his/her parent walks out the door they fear that they'll never come back. You can try but you'll never escape fear, no matter how hard you try, it will always be right there with you almost like an evil twin.

  3. Many people say they aren’t afraid of anything but that is one big lie. Fear is inside us all and it has a way of keeping us from taking any risks. Like when people are afraid of heights they will do any thing to stay away from heights. That’s the fear keeping you from doing anything with the slightest risk at all. Fear is very persistent it doesn’t want you to do certain things. Fear is just you unwilling to change. It's just the thought of something dangerous some thing that make you uncomfortable. So clearly the only thing to fear here is fear itself and nothing else.

  4. When I am about to do a new thing in my life, I get scared. For example, going to a new school for the first time and meeting new kids. Or having to go play a sport that you dont know anybody in. Change and new things can scare me. I dont know how it will turn out or if people will like me or not. Sometimes it is hard to adjust to a new place or environment. Change can be hard for many people, but if you try to make the best of change something good will come out of it. The only thing to fear is fear itself.

  5. “Bzzzzzz……” As soon as I hear that noise, the hair on my arms stands up straight. When I was little, I would cover my ears and run away. These little creatures, bees, scare me to death because they will do whatever it takes to sting you. Their fuzzy black and yellow stripes and big, black, bug eyes are just the beginning. Although I have never actually been stung by one, I have come close at least two times and don’t plan on getting stung any time soon. Every time I go outside I always have it in the back of my head to watch out for bees. Due to this, I can never really relax outdoors. My fear of bees has really affected my life.

  6. Fear is something many people say doesn't exist in their life, but their wrong. Everyone has a fear, but not everyone has come in contact with true fear. I on the other hand have a fear. There isn't many things I fear but there I do have a fear of heights and falling off heights. This has affected my life in a few ways. For example, when I went to Florida with my family we went to a place called Planet Hollywood. Inside was a balcony with a large drop and below was these tables that appeared to be glass. My family was looking at all the old movie props while I wouldn't dare to go anywhere near that edge because I was so nervous I'd fall off the balcony and fall onto one of the tables. My fear of heights has greatly affected my life.

  7. You're sitting on the couch watching t.v at night.BAM!!!The power goes out!You sit in silence, afraid to move as if you were paralyzed.I am afraid of the dark.Ever since I was little I have been afraid of it.This fear changed my decisions because one day when I was alone in my house and the power went out.I didn't know what to do,so instead of sitting in the dark I ran upstairs, frantically looking for a flashlight.I finally found one after what felt like an hour of searching. As soon as I turned the flashlight on I felt releived.Ever since that experience I have been even more uncomfortable when I turn off the lights, frightened of what could be lurking in the desolate darkness.

  8. My big fear is spiders. It affects the decisions I make because when I see a spider I just scream and run away but I should kill the spider so it doesn't just crawl off and bite someone . It could seriously hurt someone. A few years ago, I got bit by a spider. A week later there was a mysterious line that was "crawling" up my arm. Next thing I knew I was in the emergency room. Turns out, it was a very dangerous spider that bit me and I needed to get special medicine for it. The doctor said that if I hadn't gone in and had it checked out, I only had 30 minutes to live. This happening has affected me mentally and emotionally.

  9. Have you ever been in a scenario where it was pitch black, and all of the sudden you felt like there was something creepy, lurking in the corners? One of my fears is the unknown. Many people are scared of the dark because they can't see, and therefore the many different things that are around them are unknown. It's sometimes super scary to think about the future, because you don't know what is going to happen. The future is one of those many things that is unknown. This fear of the unknown affects so much in my life. One of the most important affects my fear of the unknown has one me is my happiness. It affects how happy I am, because if I am scared of what is going to happen in the future, I am constantly stressed, anxious, and nervous. For example if I just took a very hard test, and my grade was unknown, I might be stressed out not knowing what my grade would be. I would be anxious to figure out what my grade was, and nervous because if I don't do good on the test it could really affect my grade in that subject. The unknown also affects the decisions I make for where I go, and who I am with. I usually won't go anywhere that is too different from where I usually am and I usually don't go with people that are different from the people that I am usually with because I do not know what will happen if I do, and I am afraid of that. My fear of the unknown definitely affects my life.

  10. There are many things people are afraid of but my biggest fear is sharks. Sharks are scary, vicious creatures. When I go into the water I have a natural instinct to scan the water for the fearless ocean creature. It stops me from just diving into the glistening water. One time, on a day that was as hot as the sun, my friends and I decided to take a dip into the slow flowing ocean. At first we were swimming in the shallows, finding shells on the rocky sea floor. Then my friend suggested that we swim out to the old rickety raft in the middle of the deep dark water. At that point I was thinking that we were going to get eaten by some big shark with sharp white teeth who was lurking in the dark. So I said, "Why don't we just hunt for minnows in the small tidal pools. They all agreed and at the end I still wondered if I should have gone out to the raft. I guess I'll never know.

  11. When people say that they arn't scared of anything that's a lie because EVERYONE has a fear. One of my fears is going on a BIG rollercoaster. This fear changes my desition because the rollercoaster is fun but it makes me sick at the way top of it. Also, another fear is..... the dark I have always been scared of the dark since I was two. I dislike when you can't see anything it really scares me a lot.

  12. There are many things that I am fearful of and probably the same for others. One thing that I fear is spiders. They are every where with their unnoticeable fangs that with a bite can pinch you breaking skin. I am only frighted of spiders in the day time really because I can see there scary appearance. Compared to night like if I play manhunt I don't see them so I don't know what they look like but I'm still scared. When Im in the shower in the basement so there's a lot of spiders. Like ill look up and freak out and jump out and throw the shampoo bottle a it. (Doesn't work if you miss) I can just imagine opening my eyes in the shower and a giant spider in my face. That's why now I search the shower loosing my mind if I see one. Overall it affects me because when I say I'm going to take a shower it takes longer because of search and my parents think Im wasting water I don't turn it on.. I don't like this

  13. Ding, Dong! When someone knocks on your door and you don't know who it is, you don't know if it’s a stranger or your parents locked out! When someone knocks on my door I get freaked out and hide because they can be kidnappers or robbers you never know until you look at the door. Expect I’m always afraid to look at my door to see who it is. One time my whole family was home expect my mom, someone knocked and I hid but it ended up being a news reporter trying to get in my house to talk to my mom. We told her she wasn’t there but they didn’t believe us! It was my biggest fear since that happened, it happened 2 years ago. But, one day it could be my parents needing help or someone is chasing them and it will be my fault for not answering the door! It can also affect my life because someday it could be that it’s my friends wanting to hangout but I’m, scared to get the door! Everyone will always have a fear but fear will always be there like your family so you have to try to live your life with no fears!

  14. You're home alone.. What could happen? Could someone show up at your door . There is so many things, possibilities that could happen. My biggest fear is being home alone. I don't like tha fact that any thing could happen. That you have no protection from anyone. This can affect my life because if I don't get over my fear of being home alone I could never be able to own my own house and be home alone in it. I need to change my fear and get over the thought of it being so scary

  15. One huge fear of mine is the fear of heights. Also know as acrophobia. This fear has influenced my life and the decisions I make. It's made me avoid tall rides at amusement parks and doing specific things with my friends and family. I try to stop this fear from making me avoid things I know I'll regret not doing later. Like zip-lining 70 feet above the ground at Wildcat mountain! Actually I think being so afraid of the height actually made that experience even more exhillerating! One major phobia of mine is my fear of heights and it can and does influence my life.
